How to Configure Invoice Settings in Bit CRM

Estimated reading: 1 minute 63 views

This guide shows you how to set your invoice prefix and configure the payment terms available when creating invoices.

Navigate to Invoice Settings

Go to Settings → Invoice Settings. You’ll see two tabs: Prefix Settings and Configure Payment Terms.

1. Set your invoice prefix

On the Prefix Settings tab, enter the prefix that appears before every invoice number. Example: entering INV produces invoices like INV-0001.

  • Maximum 10 characters.

Click Save Changes.

2. Configure payment terms

Switch to the Configure Payment Terms tab to manage the terms available when creating an invoice — e.g., Net 15, Net 30.

“Net 15” means payment is due within 15 days of the invoice date. “Net 30” means 30 days. Once you select a term on an invoice, Bit CRM uses that number to auto-fill the Due Date for you.

Click + New Term, then fill in:

Number of Days — how many days until payment is due

Term Name — e.g., “Net 15”

Click Create.

Once a term exists, selecting it on an invoice automatically calculates and fills in the Due Date for you.

You can also reach this page directly from the invoice creation screen — selecting Configure from the Terms dropdown takes you straight here.
