Welcome to Bit CRM, the first sales CRM plugin for WordPress. Bit CRM is developed by Bit Apps. Since it is part of the same ecosystem we build, Bit CRM follows the same terms, refund policy, and support standards as every other Bit Apps product.
Bit CRM lives on your own WordPress website. Once you install it, your contacts, deals, and other business data are saved on your own site, not on our servers. So this policy covers three different things separately: our own website, what the plugin does on your site, and the outside tools the plugin can connect to.

If you're a contact and you have a question about your own information, the quickest way to get an answer is to ask the business whose site you're dealing with. They hold your data, not us. Our own contact details are at the bottom of this page.
When you visit our website, we may collect basic technical information such as your browser type, IP address, time zone, referring pages, and the pages you visit. We may use cookies, server logs, and analytics tools for this purpose.
If you purchase Bit CRM Pro, we also collect the information needed to process and manage your order, such as your name, email address, billing information, and payment details. Full payment card details are handled by our payment provider and are not stored by us.
Bit CRM includes optional usage tracking to help us understand how the plugin is being used and improve the product.
Usage tracking is off by default. It only starts if a WordPress administrator chooses to opt in during onboarding, through an activation notice, or from the Improvement option on the Support page. You can opt out at any time, and future usage reports will stop.
If enabled, Bit CRM sends limited site, technical, and product usage information periodically.
This may include:
These reports are normally sent once a week and once when usage tracking is first enabled.
Usage tracking does not send the actual content of your CRM records. For example, we do not collect:
The information you enter into Bit CRM, including contacts, leads, companies, deals, invoices, products, notes, emails, activities, attachments, and other CRM records, remains stored on your WordPress website.
If you enable usage tracking, only the limited site, technical, and usage information described above is sent to Bit Apps. The contents of your CRM records are not included.
If you connect Bit CRM with WooCommerce, FluentCart, an email provider, an AI provider, another Bit Apps product, or another supported service, data may be processed between those services and your WordPress site according to the integrations you configure.
Usage tracking may tell us whether certain integrations or features are enabled, but it does not send the underlying CRM content or sensitive credentials.
If you enable the Bit CRM Client Portal, portal accounts and the CRM information you choose to share with users are managed through your WordPress website.
If usage tracking is enabled, we may receive limited information about whether the Client Portal feature is being used, but the CRM records shared through the portal are not included.
If you connect an email account to Bit CRM, the information required to maintain that connection is stored on your WordPress website.
If usage tracking is enabled, we may receive limited information such as whether an email connection is configured, the email provider type, and the number of configured accounts. Email passwords, API credentials, email subjects, and message content are not included.
When Bit CRM is deactivated, you may be shown an optional feedback form. If you choose to submit it, the selected feedback reason and your site URL are sent to Bit Apps to help us understand why users deactivate the plugin.
You can review the Bit Apps Terms of Service and Privacy Policy for more information about how Bit Apps handles submitted information.
We don't, and can't, use the data stored inside your Bit CRM plugin for any of this. We simply don't have access to it.
We never sell your personal information. We only share it when:
If you connect other tools to Bit CRM yourself (an email provider, WooCommerce, another Bit Apps plugin), those tools handle data based on how you've set them up and their own privacy policies, not ours.
Our website uses SSL encryption, so your information is protected while it travels to and from bit-crm.com, including at checkout. Inside the plugin, sensitive details like email login credentials are encrypted before they're saved. Bit CRM also lets you control who on your team can see or edit different records.
That said, Bit CRM runs on your own hosting, so how safe your data is also depends on your server, your team's permissions, and your backups, not just on us. We'd recommend keeping WordPress, PHP, and your plugins updated, and only giving admin access to people who genuinely need it.
We keep license and order information as long as we need it for our records, or until you ask us to delete it. The data inside your CRM (contacts, deals, invoices) stays for as long as you want, since it's your own database. Anything you delete goes to the recycle bin first, based on however long you've set it to stay there.
If the law where you live gives you rights over your own information, like seeing it, correcting it, or asking us to delete it, just contact us using the details below. If your information is inside someone else's Bit CRM installation rather than with us, it's best to ask that business directly, since they're the ones holding it.
If you're in Europe, we use your order and license information because we need it to give you the service you've paid for, or for good reasons like preventing fraud. This information might be stored in other countries, including the United States.
Right now, we don't change how we collect data if your browser sends a "Do Not Track" signal. You can turn cookies off in your browser settings, though some parts of our site may not work as well if you do.
Bit CRM and bit-crm.com aren't made for children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you think a child has given us personal information, let us know and we'll delete it.
We may update this page if our practices, our product, or the law changes. We'll always update the date at the top when we do. It's worth checking back now and then, especially before you share any personal information with us.
